They both went on to represent the BCU in Bochum, Germany in June returning with 3 Gold medals and 2 bronze. Then followed a trip to Poland for the Olympic hopes regatta where they made the final in K4 but missed qualification in the K2.

May 14th
Elmbridge Canoe club sprints this comming weekend
May 7th-8th
Despite a very poor start on Saturday morning weather wise, and a reduced team for the second Nottingham regatta of the year Addlestone paddlers had some excellent results. Bethan Owen achieving her PB in the 1000m K1 heat to be followed by beating it again in Final one coming in a very good 5th.
Tom Deacon also produced a brilliant 1000m and edged ever closer to being promoted to boys A.
However the weather conditions changed on Sunday to a very strong head wind so no really good times achieved.
Bethan raced really well in 500m qualifying for the first final, a brilliant result.
Even Andy Dodson raced and qualified for the first final.
